Planning History
Year 1997-2002
Wuhan municipal government had conducted multi-level and all-round researches for a reasonable development of the Wangjiadun area. According to the overall urban plan, Wuhan Urban Planning and Design Institute had also made investigations to the orientation and land using of Wangjiadun area, which proposed a preliminary plan for the area and thus provided basis for the decision to remove the airport and attract investment into Wangjiadun area.
Year 2002
The company together with Wuhan Urban Planning Bureau invited China Urban Planning and Design Institute, British Atkins, EDAW Hong Kong, etc., to conduct specific researches on the comprehensive functions, urban transportation, ecological and space landscapes of Wangjiadun area.
In September 2003, the company together with Wuhan Urban Planning Bureau developed an international activity for scheme collection for Wangjiadun area. Five companies and institutes, including American SOM, German Obermeyer, Australian Design Inc & ANS, British Atkins and China Urban Planning and Design Institute were invited to contribute consultation, design and planning scheme for Wuhan CBD. Then in December 2003, Wuhan Urban Planning Bureau invited famous experts in planning, transportation, architecture and economics both at home and abroad for the appraisal of the international consultation schemes on Wangjiadun area.
Year 2003

Year 2004
In the first half of 2004, Wuhan Urban Planning Bureau finished the synthesis work for Wuhan CBD planning schemes on the basis of specific researches and international collection, etc. Later on December 3rd, 2004, Wuhan municipal government officially approved the “General Plan for Wuhan CBD”.
Year 2005-2007
Ever since 2005, the company together with Wuhan Urban Planning Bureau has further developed the detailed controlling plan for the land of 7.41km2 in Wuhan CBD by integrating the development strategy on exploiting the area of 4000mu (267 hectares) after setting up the planning framework for Wuhan CBD. In addition, the company has constantly deepened the design of the public works projects, the detailed plan on area development, landscape planning and design, architectural design and several other specific researches.
Year 2008
On May 2nd 2008, Wuhan Municipal Government officially approved the controlling plan of Wuhan CBD.
On May 27th 2008, the “Planning of Underground Space of Wuhan CBD” made by the company and Wuhan Urban Planning and Design Institute was approved by the municipal government.
